Good step, but why only now? These illegal establishments have been operating for years. The committee should also look into the corruption that allows them to run. Transparency in the action report is crucial—citizens should be able to see which places were shut down.

While action on illegal hotels is welcome, I'm more pleased about the focus on private school recognition. As a parent, ensuring schools meet basic standards is vital for our children's future. Hope this committee actually enforces the rules and doesn't just create more paperwork.

A detailed, time-bound report is a positive move for accountability. The directive for written responses to councillors' questions is a good governance practice. Hope this sets a precedent for other municipal bodies across India.

They talk about pollution and stray animals in the same meeting? These are massive, separate issues. Feels like they're just ticking boxes. I'll believe it when I see the illegal restaurant near my office actually shut down. Too many announcements, too little action on the ground.

Safety and health of citizens should always be the priority. These illegal places often don't follow fire safety or hygiene norms. Strict action is long overdue. Hope the officials follow through with the chairperson's directions.
