Wonderful to see Shimla getting global recognition through such festivals! 🌄 The plastic-free initiative is especially commendable. Tourists like me visit Himachal for its pristine beauty - we must all do our part to keep it clean. Kudos to CM Sukhu for leading by example!

While the festival sounds grand, I hope the government is also focusing on improving basic infrastructure in Shimla. The roads and water supply issues need urgent attention if we want to attract more international tourists. Still, the environment initiatives are a step in the right direction.

Plastic Neutral Himachal by 2030 is an ambitious goal! But will there be proper waste management systems in place? In my last visit, I saw plastic bottles littered even in remote areas. The government should install more recycling bins and impose stricter fines for littering.

The traditional Himachali cap and shawl presentation warms my heart! ❤️ Our hill states have such rich cultural heritage that needs to be preserved. More such festivals showcasing local art, music and handicrafts would be wonderful. Maybe next year they can include a handicraft exhibition?

Good initiative but implementation is key. We've seen many such campaigns come and go. What's different this time? The government should share quarterly progress reports on plastic reduction. Also, what alternatives are being provided to small shopkeepers who rely on plastic packaging?

The cycle run event on World Environment Day is such a thoughtful idea! 🚴‍♂️ More cities should adopt this. Shimla's cool climate makes it perfect for cycling tourism too. Maybe the government can develop proper cycling tracks as part of their green initiatives? Would love to pedal through those pine forests!
