This is such a wonderful initiative by NFDC. Our young generation needs to see these masterpieces to understand real cinema. Today's films have great VFX but lack the soul that Guru Dutt's movies had.

While I appreciate the effort, I wish they had included 'Kaagaz Ke Phool' in this retrospective. It's considered his most personal work and deserves equal attention. Still, great to see classic cinema getting its due.

Guru Dutt's films are like fine wine - they only get better with time. The way he portrayed complex emotions in simple frames was pure genius. Taking my college-going kids to watch these - they need to see what real acting looks like!

Hope they show these in smaller cities too and not just metro multiplexes. Classic cinema belongs to everyone, not just urban elites. The government should ensure wider distribution.

Waah! This is the best news I've heard all year. Guru Dutt's films are like poetry in motion. That scene from Pyaasa where he recites "Yeh duniya agar mil bhi jaaye to kya hai" still gives me goosebumps. Count me in for all shows! ❤️
