Mumbai, July 6

Star batter Rishabh Pant made his first-ever appearance on 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' and spoke about his journey after the serious road accident he suffered in December 2022.

In the latest episode of the Netflix comedy show, Rishabh appeared alongside fellow cricketers Abhishek Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Team India's coach Gautam Gambhir.

While the show had many fun and light-hearted moments, it also turned emotional when Pant talked about his recovery and the difficult months that followed the accident. Host Kapil Sharma welcomed the cricketer warmly and praised him for his strength and determination in making a strong comeback.

Talking about the days after the accident, Rishabh shared how his body reacted to the heavy medication and how eating even basic food became a challenge. "Accident jab hua tha na... toh itni saare dawayaan andar chali gayi thi. Toh andar se na system, kuch khaya he nahi jaata tha, kuch feel he nahi hota tha. The show has already seen Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in its first episode. The actor opened up about various things -- including his health struggles, views on marriage, and more. He also shared an interesting detail about his hairstyle in the film Tere Naam, revealing that it was inspired by India's former President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The second episode featured the cast of 'Metro... In Dino.' Navjot Singh Sidhu's return to the show after a long break also left fans surprised. The third episode of the show is all set to stream on July 5 on Netflix.

Khichdi for 2-3 months? That's so tough! Shows how strong our Indian athletes are. My grandmother always says khichdi is the ultimate healing food - looks like she was right! Wishing Rishabh continued good health ❤️

While I admire Pant's courage, I wish the show had focused more on road safety awareness. So many young lives are lost in accidents daily. This could have been a great platform to discuss that important issue.

Bhai, Kapil's show is becoming too emotional now. We want the old Comedy Nights back with pure laughter! But still, good to see Pant sharing his story. Hope he gets back to his best form soon.

As someone who's had a long recovery from illness, I totally relate to what Rishabh said about medicines affecting your system. It's the small things like being able to eat normally that we take for granted. More power to him!

The episode was good but too short! Netflix should make it longer when they have such star guests. Also, when will we see Virat on the show? That would break the internet for sure!
