While I appreciate the focus on fisheries, I wish the government would also address the pollution issues in our water bodies. Many fish farmers in my area are struggling due to industrial waste being dumped in rivers. The vision is good but implementation needs work.

Professor Chaudhuri's contribution to Indian aquaculture is truly remarkable. It's heartening to see his legacy being honored. More young people should consider fisheries as a career - it's sustainable and profitable if done scientifically.

As someone working in sustainable development, I'm thrilled to see Tripura taking fisheries seriously. The Northeast has such rich aquatic biodiversity - this could become a model for other states. But please ensure the expansion is environmentally responsible!

Great initiative! But the government should also focus on cold storage and transportation facilities. Many fish farmers lose their produce due to lack of proper infrastructure. "Meen" (fish) is staple food in our region - we need complete solutions.

My father was a fish farmer in Tripura for 30 years. The sector has come a long way but still needs more technical support and subsidies for small farmers. Happy to see this recognition though! Hope the policies actually reach the grassroots level this time.
