Another Western period drama? Would be nice if Netflix invested in Indian classics too. Imagine a lavish adaptation of Tagore's works with this kind of budget! Still, will probably watch this for Olivia Colman's performance.

The casting of Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet is interesting. They're such a talented actor but quite different from previous Elizabeths. Hope they bring something new to the role! Also excited to see Anjana Vasan in the cast - loved her in We Are Lady Parts.

As an English literature student, I'm cautiously optimistic. The 2005 movie set such high standards. The director's work on Heartstopper was good though. Fingers crossed they don't modernize it too much - the charm is in the Regency era details!

My book club is going to have a field day with this! We read Pride and Prejudice last month. Some members were skeptical about another adaptation but the cast looks stellar. Maybe this will finally get my husband to understand why I love this story so much 😂

Honestly, I wish they'd chosen a less adapted novel. There are so many great Austen works that haven't gotten proper screen time. But I'll probably still binge-watch this over a weekend with some chai and pakoras!
