This is really concerning. Laxmi Nagar area is always so crowded, especially near the metro station. Electrical short circuits are common in these old buildings. The authorities should conduct proper safety audits of all commercial establishments in the area.

Such a relief that there were no casualties! Books are precious, but human lives matter most. The fire department deserves appreciation for their prompt action. Delhi's emergency services are really improving.

I live nearby and saw the smoke from my balcony. The response was impressive - within minutes multiple fire trucks arrived. However, I hope this serves as a wake-up call for better fire safety compliance in commercial areas. Many shops don't even have basic fire extinguishers.

That bookstore has been there for years! Used to buy my engineering books from there during college days. Hope the owner has insurance and can recover from this loss. Books burning is always heartbreaking 💔

Good to see efficient emergency response. But why do we always wait for accidents to happen? Regular fire safety drills and inspections should be mandatory for all commercial establishments, especially in crowded areas like Laxmi Nagar.
