4.2 is relatively mild but we shouldn't take it lightly. Remember the 2004 tsunami started with an earthquake in this region. Our early warning systems better be working properly!

The coordinates show it's quite close to our islands. Hope our naval base there is secure. This region is strategically important for India's security too.

Nature reminds us who's boss! 😅 On serious note, glad it wasn't stronger. My cousin lives in Port Blair - she said they felt slight tremors but nothing alarming.

The NCS is doing good work with timely updates. But I wish they'd explain more about what these numbers mean for common people. 4.2 sounds technical - is it dangerous or normal for the region?

Andaman is such a tourist paradise... hope this doesn't affect tourism. The local economy depends so much on visitors. Maybe government should invest more in earthquake-resistant infrastructure there.
