Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Dhurandhar', which is performing strongly at the box office and has become one of the biggest Indian hits of 2025, has already locked its sequel for an Eid 2026 release.

The spy thriller is set to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, during Eid, and will be released in five languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. This will mark the film's first full pan-India release.

The sequel is expected to hit theatres during major festivals, including Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi. According to a press release, the makers are also looking at wider overseas releases beyond the Indian diaspora.

The film has received praise from Bollywood celebrities for its story, action, and message. Filmmakers such as Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Ram Gopal Varma, Karan Johar, and Siddharth Anand have all voiced their admiration for Dhurandhar.

This is fantastic news! Dhurandhar was a proper paisa vasool film. The action sequences and the background score were just too good. Releasing during Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi will ensure a massive opening. Hope the sequel lives up to the hype.

Respectfully, I hope they focus more on the story this time. The first part was great, but some of the action felt a bit over-the-top for a spy thriller. Keeping it realistic would make the sequel even more powerful. Still, Aditya Dhar is a brilliant director.

As someone who watched it with my Indian friends here in the US, it's great to hear about wider overseas releases. The film's portrayal of intelligence operations was gripping. Ranveer and that stellar supporting cast deserve all the success.

Releasing in five southern languages is a masterstroke. This is how you make a true pan-Indian film, not just by dubbing. The first film's story had a universal appeal. March 2026 feels so far away! 😅

Bahut badhiya! The combo of Ranveer's energy and Aditya Dhar's vision is magic. The fact that filmmakers from different industries are praising it says a lot. Hope the sequel explores the political angles even more deeply. Jai Hind!
