Bruce Springsteen wants Donal Trump to be impeached

Rocker Bruce Springsteen blasts Trump's presidency, calling for impeachment and criticizing his political influence

"He's the living personification of what the 25th Amendment and impeachment were for - Bruce Springsteen, TIME Magazine"

Los Angeles, Sep 26

Music legend Bruce Springsteen doesn't like the US President Donal Trump, and wants him to be impeached.

The 'Born in the USA' hitmaker insists he "couldn't care less" what the US president, who made made history in 2021 as the first president to be impeached twice but was acquitted in both instances, thinks of him but believes the former Apprentice star should be "consigned to the trash heap of history", reports 'Female First UK'.

Asked about his public feud with Trump, Springsteen told TIME magazine, "I absolutely couldn't care less what he thinks about me. He's the living personification of what the 25th Amendment and impeachment were for. If Congress had any guts, he'd be consigned to the trash heap of history. A lot of people bought into his lies. He doesn't care about the forgotten anybody but himself and the multibillionaires who stood behind him on Inauguration Day".

But the 76-year-old rocker is concerned there is no current viable alternative to the Republican Party. He said, "You have to face the fact that a good number of Americans are simply comfortable with his politics of power and dominance. We're desperately in need of an effective alternative party, or for the Democratic Party to find someone who can speak to the majority of the nation. There is a problem with the language that they're using and the way they're trying to reach people".

As per 'Female First UK', earlier this year, the president branded Springsteen a "pushy, obnoxious J***' and "dumb as a rock" after the singer hit out at the "corruption" and "incompetence" of his administration during a concert in Manchester, North England.

Referring to Springsteen campaigning for former US President Joe Biden, the president wrote on his Truth Social platform, "Sleepy Joe didn't have a clue as to what he was doing, but Springsteen is 'dumb as a rock', and couldn't see what was going on, or could he (which is even worse!)? This dried out 'prune' of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that's just 'standard fare'. Then we'll all see how it goes for him".

"Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he's not a talented guy, just a pushy, obnoxious", he added.

While I respect Springsteen's right to his opinion, celebrities should focus on their art. Political commentary from entertainers often lacks depth. The language from both sides seems quite harsh though.

Trump calling someone "dumb as a rock" is the pot calling the kettle black! 😂 But seriously, as Indians we've seen how celebrity politicians can disrupt traditional politics. Interesting to watch from afar.

Springsteen makes a valid point about needing effective opposition. In India we understand this well - strong democracy requires good alternatives, not just criticizing the current government.

The personal attacks from Trump are unbecoming of any leader, let alone a former president. Springsteen's music has inspired generations - that's talent Trump can only dream of having.

Yaar, this feud is getting too personal. Both should maintain some dignity. In Indian politics we see this too - leaders attacking each other instead of discussing real issues. Very disappointing. 🤦‍♀️
