LOS ANGELES, Oct 8
Breakaway, the nation's leading independent live entertainment brand, announced today that serial entrepreneur Shaun Neff and music-industry entrepreneur Nick Gross (founder of Gross Labs) have joined its ownership group. The move comes after Breakaway closed its biggest U.S.
festival season to date. 2025 marked a milestone for Breakaway: the festival expanded to 12 cities across the U.S., reinforcing its position as a top multi-city touring festival. The new owners will help guide the brand's next phase of growth.
"Adding Shaun and Nick to the Breakaway family is like adding rocket fuel to everything we've been building," said Breakaway Co‑Founder and CEO Adam Lynn. "They get our strategic vision to grow beyond live events--creating new formats and connecting with audiences across platforms. As Breakaway evolves, we're building a team that reflects that direction."
Neff and Gross bring deep experience in entertainment, consumer brands, and cultural strategy. Their involvement supports Breakaway's plans for national growth in 2026 and beyond, with a focus on creative ownership and measurable cultural impact.
"Breakaway has already created a powerful national platform that connects with Gen Z," Shaun Neff said. "Our priority is to scale that foundation thoughtfully--deepening cultural relevance and community connection, amplifying artists, and empowering fans. That mission is what drew me to Breakaway," added Nick Gross.
