Defence Minister hails Bhuj-Kachchh's historical bravery during Vijayadashami address, emphasizes technology adoption and assures full military support from government.

Highlighting the significance of Bhuj and Kachchh regions, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said that the two regions in Gujarat are not merely geographical locations, but are a land of sentiments and a saga of courage.

Addressing the troops of the Indian Army on Vijayadashmi celebrations in the Bhuj area of Gujarat's Kachchh, the Defence Minister said that this land has challenged both the fury of nature and the invasions of enemies for centuries.

"This land of Bhuj and Kachchh is not merely a geographical location, but in itself, this land is a sentiment, a saga of courage. Be it the 1971 war or the 1999 Kargil war, the borders of Kachchh have always witnessed the bravery of our soldiers. It is that land which has challenged both the fury of nature and the invasions of enemies for centuries..." Rajnath Singh said.

Emphasising that wars are not just won with weapons, Singh advised the troops to embrace new technologies and make training a part of their daily routine to stay prepared for every situation.

He further assured that the government will take all necessary steps for their welfare and the defence and security of India.

The Defence Minister asserted, "Remember, wars are not won merely with weapons. Wars are won with morale, discipline, and consistent preparation. Therefore, I would also advise you to adopt new technologies, make training a part of your daily routine, and always remain prepared for every situation... In today's world, army which is always ready to continuously learn and adapt itself to new changes remains invincible... I also assure all of you that for your welfare, defence and security of India, whatever steps are necessary, the government will never hesitate to take them."

He also lauded the Indian defence forces on the stupendous success of Operation Sindoor, saying, "The miraculous work done by our forces during Operation Sindoor, whether it was our Army, Navy, Air Force, or our Border Security Force...Even the Navy and Coast Guard have also prepared themselves and were fully deployed...During Operation Sindoor, we followed the ideals of Hanuman ji...Our men were killed by terrorists. We attacked only terrorist hideouts."

Extending greetings on the eve of Dussehra, Singh stated, "...I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all of you on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami. This day marks the victory of good over evil, righteousness over irreligion, and truth over falsehood. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to be among my family on this sacred land of Bhuj and Kachchh during Vijayadashami..."

Following the address, the Defence Minister also interacted with Army personnel in Bhuj.
