Bengaluru, Jan 7 : Mahindra Two Wheelers Limited, a part of the US USD 16.5 billion Mahindra Group, on Wednesday launched its eagerly awaited global scooter, the 'GUSTO' in Karnataka.
The Gusto has been developed entirely indigenously at its R and D facility in Pune.

The name - GUSTO, is derived from the word 'Gust', which is a sudden strong current of wind, symbolizing the spirit of freedom.

The Mahindra GUSTO is India's first scooter with a unique patented Height Adjustable Seat, making it easy for anyone to effortlessly adjust the seat height as per their individual heights for a safe and comfortable ride.

Viren Popli, Chief of Operations, Mahindra Two Wheelers said, "The Gusto is Mahindra's first ground-up scooter developed entirely in house. Based on deep consumer insights, it deploys innovative technology to create a category defining product, which will provide exceptional value to customers looking for a 110cc scooter. After winning the hearts in North and West India, Gusto is being launched in Karnataka in time for the festive occasion and start of New Year."



Dharmendra Mishra, Vice President - Sales and Customer Care, Mahindra Two Wheelers added, "The Italian styled Gusto is powered by the smooth and fuel efficient M-TEC engine. The GUSTO is being launched at an introductory price of Rs 48,400 (Ex-showroom Bengaluru) for the GUSTO Hx variant. The top end GUSTO Vx variant is priced at Rs 50,400 (Ex-showroom Bengaluru).

GUSTO is also being launched globally across South Asia, Latin America and Africa.
