Cinematography: Georgy Joseph
Movie Rating: 2.5/5
Allen belongs to a middle class family. He was very creative and wishes to become a part of media industry. His idea of starting a weekly comedy show on a television channel was pirated by his friend and he got depressed. But with the support of his few good friends, he finally succeed to make his dream come true.
The movie went smoothly until interval. Viewers may get the same feel of watching the real life of Allen through a peephole. But the second part was dragging eventhough it was filled with sentiments, sympathy and regular masalas. Homely Meals is a lengthy movie with a duration of 2 hours 50 minutes. It would be better if unnecessary scenes were removed and the climax scenes were improvised.
This low budget movie is totally different from Anoop Kannan's previous project "Jawan of Vellimala". The director and producer took the risk of using new faces and not-so-popular actors to do important characters. But people are attracted to theaters without the presence of minimum guarantee actors and the reason is unknown.
Anyway, this movie may give inspiration to thousands of technicians and artists who are still fighting to get an entry to movies and television industry.
