Paiya is said to be remake of Hollywood's Hitcher

This foreign flick deals with a young couple's encounter with a stranger whom they give a lift. For the start, things seem to be fine and okay until the person starts revealing his true color. Rest of the film is all about the heart-stopping spine chilling elements.

In Paiyya it's been said that Karthi and girlfriend Thamannah start their road journey from Bangalore to Mumbai during which they pick up a stranger. Director Lingusamy recently completed shooting for the first schedule at Bangalore Highway.
