New Delhi, Jan 5 : The 11th edition of Auto Expo, a biennial trade fair of automobile and auto component manufacturers, is all set to kick-start in New Delhi's Pragati Maidan on Thursday.
Organized jointly by the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), it is the Asia's only and the largest Complete Automotive Show.This five-day long extravaganza will exhibit vehicles from approximately 1500 exhibitors from 23 countries including 37 German firms displaying their products under the title 'Made in Germany'. Apparently, 50 international companies will also participate in the event.
The event, which is held after every two years, will witness unveiling of 50 new models of two-wheelers, cars, trucks and buses.
Auto Expo 2010 was a big success with around 1.2 million people thronging the venue. This year, a footfall of 1 lakh visitors is expected everyday.
