Revera thanks Volunteers Across Canada for Making a Difference

MISSISSAUGA, ON: Revera joins organizations across Canada in celebrating the value of volunteers and recognizing the contribution of the many generous people who give their time connecting with older adults in their neighbourhoods.

During National Volunteer Week, Revera offers our warmest thanks and appreciation to the thousands of volunteers who give their valuable time to our residents, said Thomas Wellner, Revera's President and Chief Executive Officer. Our residents are unique and special - and so are the volunteers who make such a big difference in their lives.

By supporting recreation activities, helping at special events or spending quality time with residents, volunteers offer companionship, kindness and a meaningful community connection to the people who call Revera home.

For adults of all ages looking for a way to give back to their community or teenage high school students seeking a rewarding way to earn their volunteer hours, it only takes one-to-two hours a week to have a big impact.

Please join us! We are always looking for new volunteers to take part in a variety of activities and opportunities, including:

Assisting with recreation programs and events
Participating in or leading organized programs and clubs
Developing relationships and visiting with older adults
