NEW YORK: "If you are not watching Citybuzz, you're fired." So said Donald Trump on the red carpet to Citybuzz cameras, but that was over a decade ago! But now, starting today, if you are not watching Citybuzz you are going to miss the hottest in art happenings in New York City. Citybuzz Art is launching in 7,000 New York City taxis covering in 60 seconds what is happening in the city's museum and art galleries.
Citybuzz is a media company which broadcasts a daily newsfeed on New York City happenings from sample sales to Off- Broadway openings. Broadcasts are seen in taxis, hotels, and on electronic screens.
"New York is the center of the art world, but where to start? Citybuzz is helping to help cut through the clutter, curating the best during those art months where there are dozens of shows, art fairs and dazzling museum exhibits," said Citybuzz founder and CEO Christy Ferer.
During the art heavy months of March, April, May September, November and December, Citybuzz will be broadcasting its picks of what galleries to see and what museums to visit. Within the one-minute feed, the Metropolitan Museum of Art is the lead sponsor and three other galleries are featured. The minute is broadcast on taxi screens operated by CURB which represent over 50% of the city's yellow taxis.
