Windancer to help private equity-backed early stage companies
(3 months ago)
ALAMEDA, Calif., Feb. 14: Windancer Technologies (www.windancertech.com), based in Silicon Valley, has crafted the best technologies, services, and solutions into unique offerings that optimize the deployment of comprehensive health record systems while, at the same time, interdicting cybersecurity threats to patient data.
Windancer's new Innovations practice helps private equity-backed early stage technology firms in the development of initial opportunities in the US healthcare market. Windancer has developed a unique methodology to achieve success for these companies and the institutional firms that support them with capital. It includes a detailed assessment to determine the solution potential within healthcare, an evaluation using a network of clinicians, and identifying potential customers who are interested in purchasing the technology and serving as a reference.
"Emerging technologies and services under development in start-ups are going to have a dramatic and positive impact on the cost of healthcare and the management of Population Health," said Scott Bateman, Windancer's Founder and COO.
As a first engagement, Windancer Innovations has partnered with Integrated Benefit Institute (www.ibiweb.org), based in San Francisco to identify exciting new technology companies focused on improving employee health, well-being, work environment, and workforce performance. IBI serves a large number of US and Canadian-based corporate members including companies that provide health and productivity services and the companies that implement health-related programs to benefit their employees and their business. Selected companies will present to IBI membership on March 12, 2018.
"In order for us to achieve the technology showcase goals for our 2018 Annual Forum, we needed a partner who had deep knowledge of the healthcare market, understood what technologies are going to matter, and, at the same time, enjoyed relationships with private equity firms. With Windancer, we get all three," said Chris McSwain, IBI's President.
"We are delighted to be working with Chris and his team at IBI to showcase exciting new technologies that are being designed for employee health and well-being," said, C. Lloyd Mahaffey, Windancer's Founder and Executive Chairman.
