For The First Time The New Heads Of Microsoft, Cisco, And Hewlett-Packard Canada Are Coming Together At #ActivateDigital2018

TORONTO, Feb. 13: #ActivateDigital2018, will for the first time bring together Canadian high-tech industry thought leaders to talk about the emerging digital economy and the impact it will have on this country's future from both a business and political standpoint particularly in the Southwestern Ontario region.

According to Cisco President Rola Dagher, "the Toronto-Waterloo corridor now rivals Silicon Valley as an innovation generator." The new Cisco head then went on to add that "as artificial intelligence gains prominence, both Toronto, and Montreal are also emerging as global centres of innovation," and that "this is just the beginning."

The conference, which is being hosted by Long View Systems, a Canadian based IT services and solutions company with offices across North America, will also feature a line-up of other top-flight speakers from companies such as Waterloo-based BlackBerry. Activate Digital is taking place on February 27th at the Delta Guelph Hotel and Conference Centre.

Guelph Mayor Cam Guthrie, who shared the reasons for his city's incredible success as the "epicentre of technological innovation" in his recent Spotlight article, will be delivering the conference's opening remarks.

At a special evening event, an invitation will be sent out to select members of the media to meet and talk with the speakers as well as other notable attendees.

Leafs great Darryl Sittler who is from St. Jacobs, Ontario will be present at the evening event, which is also raising money for London-based Craigwood Children, Youth & Family Services.
