Ittisa Bags the Branding Mandate for Canara Bank's First Digital Initiative - CANDI
(7 months ago)
BENGALURU: Ittisa Digital, a MARTECH company headquartered in Bengaluru, has successfully bagged the branding rights for Canara Bank's first digital offering - an entirely digital branch called CANDI.
As part of this project, Ittisa has already helped the 111-year old prestigious bank with the naming, logo design, user experience, branding and setup of their first digital branch.
Ittisa was greatly involved not only with the digital design, but also with the spatial design of the digital branch. The concept of interiors, the floor plan for the self service kiosks, help desks, and interactive touch screens for customers was prepared by the team, combining both modernity and functionality.
Based on the brief that the name should be fun, youthful and easy-to-recall, Ittisa came up with the name 'CANDI'. A play on the casual word candy, CANDI comes from merging the 'CAN' from Canara and 'DI' from Digital - a perfect name for the all-digital branch. The logo was designed in association with the bank's main logo of interlocked triangles; signifying upward mobility, dynamism and progress. The consistency in colours ensures the brand's image will be associated with dependability and trust.
Talking about the new initiative, AGM, IT of Canara Bank, MG Road Branch, Bengaluru said, "We were looking for young minds who can understand our digital branch banking concepts and design the theme and a futuristic logo for our project and M/s Ittisa really did a fantastic job and we are extremely happy with the result."
Canara Bank was also featured on the global list of Top 50 Digital Only Banks 2017 as the first Indian PSU to introduce AI in banking through CANDI.
Sneha Das, COO, Ittisa said, "We would like to thank Canara Bank for trusting us with such a big responsibility. It was a challenge to take up a project on this scale and with an established brand name like Canara Bank. We really went beyond our means and scope of work to come up with an experiential digital branch for the bank. The results have been great, reinstating our own faith in our capabilities and prompting praise from the client."
Sneh Sharma, CEO, Ittisa said, "It was an amazing experience for our team; so far we had only done UX designs for mobile apps and websites but here we took our expertise to offline user experience designing and defined customer experience from entry to exit of the branch."
