Houston Methodist Emergency Care Center in The Woodlands celebrates the opening of its new facility with a ribbon cutting and open house event

Guests enjoyed tours of the facility and had a chance to meet with board-certified emergency medicine doctors and specially trained nurses and staff who are now treating patients of all ages for minor emergencies to life threatening ones.

The 24-hour, full-service emergency center features a 64 slice CT scanner, full X-ray and ultrasound; eight large, private rooms; a designated ambulance entrance and quick admissions.

Should patients need extended care, the emergency center's affiliation with Houston Methodist The Woodlands provides expedited admissions and transfers to the hospital.
