SAN FRANCISCO: Cloud Foundry Foundation, home of the industry-standard platform for cloud applications, today announced the highly-anticipated North America Cloud Foundry Summit, will be held at the Boston Convention Center April 18-20, 2018.
The 2018 Summit comes on the heels of the record-setting 2017 Silicon Valley Summit. With support from Platinum sponsors Google, IBM, Pivotal and SAP the 2017 Summit in North America set new attendance records. Cloud Foundry has seen vast growth worldwide with 2,600 contributors since inception; more than 76,000 commits in the last 12 months alone; 71,750 people participating in global community events; and 67 total members. According to internal research, Cloud Foundry has 35 percent of the total market across all deployments, making it the industry leader in the growing cloud application platform market. As stated in market research from Gartner, Cloud Foundry's total market value is approximately $3.1 billion, rising to $5.25 billion in a few years.

The Foundation also anticipates 1,000 attendees next month at the 2017 European Summit in Basel, Switzerland (October 11-12) at the Congress Center Basel.

"After the huge success in Silicon Valley this year, we are spreading our community east with deep technology-focused keynote content, developer-centric tracks and the only available in-person Cloud Foundry developer certification," said Abby Kearns, Executive Director, Cloud Foundry Foundation. "For anyone serious about cloud-native technologies, this will be the place to be."

Cloud Foundry is an open source technology backed by the largest technology companies in the world, including Cisco, Dell EMC, Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IBM, Microsoft, Pivotal, SAP and SUSE, and is being used by leaders in manufacturing, telecommunications and financial services. Only Cloud Foundry delivers the velocity needed to continuously deliver apps at the speed of business. Cloud Foundry's container-based architecture runs apps in any language on your choice of cloud — Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), IBM Cloud, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, VMware vSphere, and more. With a robust services ecosystem and simple integration with existing technologies, Cloud Foundry is the modern standard for mission critical apps for global organizations.
