Life Insurance Direct Marketing Association Announces Six 2017 Innovation Award Finalists

ATLANTA, Sept. 17, 2017 : The Life Insurance Direct Marketing Association (LIDMA) has announced that it has selected six finalists for its first-ever Innovation Award, to be made at its 14th Annual Fall Meeting and Business Showcase, which will take place September 17 through September 19, 2017 at the Ritz-Carlton Tyson's Corner in McLean, Virginia.

"Success in life insurance distribution business is all about driving innovation and efficiency," remarked LIDMA president Shervin Eftekhari. "And each of our six finalists are breathing fire to disrupt in a positive way so that life insurance buyers can have a faster, more pleasant purchase experience. LIDMA is the life insurance industry's most focused gathering of high performance direct response marketers, producers, underwriters and vendors who are driving positive changes in the distribution of life insurance in order to benefit middle market consumers.

Underwriters, producers and vendors who are interested in the direct marketing of life insurance are invited to attend.

Eftekhari continued, "Given the complexities and regulatory nature of our business, it takes a lot of bandwidth and backbone for firms to innovate successfully. To identify six deserving finalists, we asked the hard questions: Can it be used to improve the buying process? Can it be reasonably implemented? Is it cost effective? Will the technology/process be supported? Does it improve the customer experience?"
