EUGENE, Ore., Aug. 21, 2017 : Rave Reviews, the innovative ranking site that creates entertaining write-ups using advanced data-driven analysis, has published its ranking of the 50 Most Fun Colleges in America.
The American college system is the most expansive, diverse, and well-funded in the world. Every university is a world unto itself, whatever the scale. Campuses are incredibly packed with potential in every area of human experience — studying, eating, playing, partying, exploring, and socializing. Whatever the size of school, the administration and community are invested in student achievement and experience — and often times share in the fun.

"You will find a wide geographic spectrum, and while sports dominate a lot of the atmosphere in the high charged NCAA scene, there are also places for lovers of nature and art and more," Taylor Barnes, Managing Editor of Rave Reviews, said about the list. "The same places we depend on for research innovation, scholarship, and academic prowess happen to be among the most stable places for an inimitable type of fun for everyone."

Rave Reviews' selection process for this list of the 50 Most Fun Colleges in America was based on data from Niche, University Primetime, Lendedu, College Ranks, and Best College Reviews. The ranking used four factors: Party, Outdoor, Town, and Recreation. Each rating was calculated on a 5-point Likert scale with a total Rave Meter assigned on a cumulative 20-point scale and a strong party factor measurement and lots of attention to the surroundings.

The ranking for the 50 Most Fun Colleges in America lists University of Colorado-Boulder in Boulder first, University of Texas in Austin second, and University of Iowa in Iowa City in third.
