LOS ANGELES, Aug. 14, 2017 : OriginClear Inc. (OTC/QB: OCLN), a leading provider of water treatment solutions, today announced that Memphis-based Environmentally Conscious Technologies (www.dotect.com) was named a regional semi-finalist in this year's Cleantech Open (www.cleantechopen.org).
Finalist teams from regions across the county will be showcased in the accelerator's annual Global Forum and compete for national prizes.

"This summer, Cleantech Open identified us as one of the companies with the most growth and impact potential within a strong pool of applicants," said Talbott Howard, CEO of ECT Services and Solutions. "We are honored."

"The emerging potential of EcoPod 2.0 as a reduction platform for potential carcinogens in water is especially exciting," added Talbott. "OriginClear is rigorously testing its ability to reduce contaminants such as the active ingredient in the Monsanto's Roundup pesticide. Recent results are encouraging, and we are integrating the latest configurations in our EcoPod for the Cleantech Open competition."

ECT is an integrator of OriginClear technology. Last summer, ECT's EcoPod 1.0 Powered By OriginClear effectively decontaminated oil production produced water in a pilot program at a storage and disposal site near Bakersfield, California, in the country's most productive oil county. Extensive third-party testing demonstrated that the pilot program was a technical success. A full report on this success is available as a PDF download.

The Cleantech Open is "the world's largest cleantech accelerator, providing entrepreneurs and corporate innovators the resources they need to launch and grow successful cleantech businesses."
