Pune (Maharashtra) , May 12 : An interesting book, 'Romancing Your Career', authored by Shabnam Asthana, was launched at an elite gathering, held at The Sheraton Grand, on May 9.
The book was unveiled by Chief Guest, Padmashri Lila Poonawalla in the august presence of Guest of Honour, Shubhra Misra, popular MJ, and several eminent personalities. The event was anchored by Snigdha Asthana Chowdhury.
Poonawalla lauded the author, Shabnam Asthana, at her initiative to bring this book to a vast spectrum of readers, reiterating that it would be truly a very informative and motivating book to ponder over.
Shubhra Misra held the audiences' attention, as she read out some fascinating excerpts from the book.
Shabnam Asthana has a rich work experience and her job involves networking and interacting with people and companies both nationally and internationally.
During the course of her career, she has met and still keeps meeting a diverse section of people, which inspired her to recount some of her work experiences and led her to pen her debut book, "Romancing Your Career", published by Partridge India, a Penguin Company.
Asthana's experiences are easily identifiable ones that any working professional would encounter and relate with.
This book introduces readers to some of the important facets of the corporate world, with easily identifiable characters who they will laugh with, cry with, pity, despise and even get inspired by.
These are people of their nine-to-five world and an integral part of their daily interaction at the workplace.
