Now, compete your way to fashion success

New Delhi , Apr 17 : Are you looking for an internship under the leading designers or are you keen to acquire on-the-job skills from the fashion gurus themselves? Here's an opportunity to get in there.

The fashion social network, Roposo, is organising a contest called 'Roposo Fashion Fables - Every Design Has a Story. Tell Us Yours,' inviting the students of fashion design and styling, who have passed out from various colleges across India in the past three years.

The nationwide hunt for next-gen fashion designers will go live on April 7, 2017, on Roposo, and the entries will be accepted until April 27, 2017. The aim of this contest is to scout for fresh talent, train them and make them spark a fashion revolution through their entrepreneurial skills.

The contest will witness two rounds. In round one, the contestants are expected to showcase their creations by posting their portfolios on Roposo. In round two, top 10 finalists will be selected by a jury of three members in Mumbai.

The judges will then select the top three candidates who will bag an internship opportunity with each one of them. Stylist Shalini Thakur, who has worked on television commercials, print campaigns, and the digital media, stylist-cum-designer Kristy De Cunha, who is well-known for her edgy and avant-garde couture in films and Kalyani Desai, stylist-cum-fashion entrepreneur will judge the contestants on the basis of their creations and the uniqueness of designs. The winners of the first round will be announced on May 2, 2017.

Commenting on the contest, Mayank Bhangadia, co-founder and CEO, Roposo said, "It is for the first time that we are conducting a contest for students. Our aim is to give these young and budding designers a platform to unleash their creative skills and an opportunity to work with some of the leading names in the fashion fraternity. I am sure the panellists will pick the right candidates and guide them on how to make a mark in the fashion industry as the next generation of fashionpreneurs."

Fashion designer Kristy De Cunha said, "Fashion is a big business today with the ever-changing tastes and preferences of the consumers. For aspiring students, internships play an invaluable part in their career. With Roposo giving them this opportunity, students will be able to look beyond classroom learning and expand their skills and become truly industry-ready."
