South Sudan: Passenger jet crashes onto runway, dozens feared dead

Wau [South Sudan] Mar. 20 : Number of people are feared dead after a passenger plane crashed onto runway during landing at an airport in Wau, South Sudan.

According to a report in the Independent, a South Sudanese newspaper carried photos showing the burnt-out ruins of the plane.

The initial reports suggests that as many as 44 people were on board when the incident took place, but till now no official passenger lists have been made available.

Rescue work is being carried out.
