HDFC ERGO's first-of-its-kind community portal for consumers on general insurance

Mumbai , Sept.21 : HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company, India's leading private sector General Insurance Company, showcased the new comprehensive web enabled HDFC ERGO Community portal - accessible at https://community.hdfcergo.com/ - for the consumers and the stakeholders of general insurance sector.
This first-of-its-kind community website for general insurance in India will serve as a channel for its users to research, get advice, discuss and share their experiences and knowledge on non-life insurance products with others registered users within the community.
With the plethora of promoted material freely available all around, consumers find it difficult getting the right information regarding products, and more so in the case of Insurance products which are intangible in nature.
Consumers, therefore, rely on age old methods of seeking advice from family and friend and most often, consider their opinion as the final word while taking a decision.
Addressing this fundamental issue the HDFC ERGO Community, an innovative portal, was launched as an online discussion forum for existing and potential customers, product experts as well as seeker of information on General Insurance.

Setting itself apart from company website, the portal is a user driven platform that provides relevant information they seek.
The main objective of the community portal is to provide authentic, value-added and usable information to its users. Users can register and log in to the community portal to seek answers to their queries from fellow users and also share their own experiences with the others users. The portal focuses on delivering a seamless and meaningful cross-channel engagement model for the stakeholders. Some of the key elements of the portal are insightful articles, trending topics, tips on buying insurance, product information and polls.
