New Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium: Compact, sporty, progressive and enhanced
Mumbai, Sept. 2: Audi, the leading German luxury car manufacturer, today introduced the new Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium sedan with enhanced features, thus making the highly popular compact luxury sedan even more appealing. The car is equipped with new and exciting features spread across interiors, exteriors and the infotainment systems.
"The Audi A3 Sedan packaged with youthful design, visionary technology and luxurious performance has set new benchmarks in the compact luxury car segment. As it completes one year in India, we are happy to introduce this new model that makes an exceptional car even better. We are confident that the new features will further enhance the appeal of this Compact, Sporty, Progressive and Sophisticated sedan amongst the Audi enthusiasts," said Mr. Joe King, Head, Audi India.
"A petrol customer is a unique customer who wants power and also efficiency at the same time. With the Audi A3 we are effectively offering the best of both to him. The Audi A3 40 TFSI offers 180 hp power and fuel efficiency of 16.6 kmpl. The Audi A3 Cabriolet - India's largest selling Cabriolet is a petrol car. We are surprised with the demand for the A3 Cabriolet (which is available only in petrol). Having already exhausted the yearly allocation we have requested for higher allocation and expect the new Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium to follow this trend," added Mr. King.
The car looks dynamic with the new features in exterior including the 40.64 cm cast aluminum alloy with 15-Spoke ''Y'' design wheels. The car gets electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, in addition to the Halogen lamps and Light/ Rain Sensor. The High Gloss Package is also available on the model now.
The new features in interior add to the style quotient with multifunctional leather steering wheel in four-spoke design, new ambient transparent inlays in 3D look, floor mats at front and rear and Regatta Leatherette - Fabric upholstery. The new Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium also gets lighting package plus, electronically adjustable driver seat and a chrome package.
The infotainment systems in the new Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium are taken a notch up with the Audi music interface, Bluetooth® interface, Passive Speakers and MMI® Radio. The Audi music interface integrates portable media players into the Audi Multimedia Interface (MMI®) allowing customers to select artists, albums, tracks or genres with the MMI® controls. The system is capable of communicating with a wide range of portable media players and USB storage media. The Bluetooth interface allows interaction with suitably equipped mobile telephones and media players.
Offering enhanced comfort, the new Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium features a rear parking aid, Deluxe automatic two-zone air conditioning with sun sensor and rear AC vents, Rough Ride Suspension, cruise control, Auto release function and driver information system which comes with Efficiency Program that provides the driver with fuel saving tips.
The Audi A3 Sedan has already earned top ratings for safety and now takes it to another level with added features like, seven airbags, anti-slip regulation, electronic stabilisation control and anti-theft wheel bolts,.
The customers can choose between the option of Black, Chestnut Brown and Pashmina Beige for interior upholstery in the new Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium.
The Audi A3 40 TFSI Sedan is powered by S tronic® dual-clutch transmission, a technology that was originally developed for the Le Mans 24-hours endurance race to deliver more power, torque and enhanced fuel efficiency. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.3 seconds in the 40 TFSI.
