The 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative is lovely but I wish they would also focus on stopping deforestation for new buildings and highways. What's the use of planting saplings if we keep cutting old trees elsewhere? Just saying... 🤷♀️
Great to see across-party participation! From Piyush Goyal in Tirumala to Danish Azad Ansari in UP - environment should be above politics. But honestly, 18 parks in Delhi? Would love to see the survival rate of those saplings after 6 months. 😅
So heartwarming to see 10,000-15,000 volunteers in Nashik! That's the real spirit of India. My grandmother used to say - "Jo ped lagata hai, wo teen peedhiyon ko bachata hai" (One who plants a tree saves three generations). Beautiful tradition. 🌿
Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam - such a brilliant emotional connect! My mother always insisted on planting trees. Today I planted a mango sapling in her name and she was so happy! But I hope the government also provides proper saplings and water support for these drives. 🌱
As someone who visits India often for work, I love seeing these initiatives. But tree plantation alone isn't enough - India needs to tackle air pollution in cities, reduce plastic waste, and improve waste management. Still, every sapling counts! Good start. 👍
