Vice President of India, C.P. Radhakrishnan and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday extended their heartiest birthday greetings to the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.

C.P. Radhakrishnan took to social media 'X' and said, "Heartiest birthday greetings to Hon'ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji. President Murmu ji has consistently championed the cause of the underprivileged and devoted herself to the service of the nation. Her remarkable commitment to inclusive growth and social welfare continues to motivate people across the country."

"Her life and public journey, defined by simplicity, humility, and an abiding commitment to public service, continue to inspire countless people across the nation. I pray for her long, healthy, and fulfilling life as she continues to contribute to the service of the nation," he said.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also extended birthday greetings and said, "Warm birthday wishes to the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu ji. She has devoted her life to serving the society and empowering the people. Through her wisdom and commitment towards inclusive development, social justice and the welfare of citizens, she represents the true spirit of public service. Wishing her good health, happiness and a long life in the service of the nation."

President Murmu is a notable Indian politician and the 15th President of India. Celebrated as the country's first tribal and second female President, her inspiring journey from humble beginnings to the highest constitutional post marks her as a symbol of resilience, progress, and representation for marginalised communities.

President Murmu was born on June 20, 1958, in Uparbeda, a remote village in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, India. Born into a Santhali tribal family, her early life was shaped by challenging conditions, marked by poverty and limited access to resources in one of India's most underdeveloped regions.

She served as the Governor of Jharkhand from 2015 to 2021 and was the first female tribal Governor in a tribal-majority state.

She was a Member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly from 2000 to 2009 and held various ministerial portfolios, including Commerce & Transport, and Fisheries and Animal Resources.

She promoted tribal welfare, education, health, and the preservation of indigenous culture.

She also received the Pandit Nilakantha Das Best Legislator Award in 2007.

While I respect the President's position, I wish the government would focus more on ground-level implementation of tribal welfare policies rather than just photo-ops and social media wishes. Actions speak louder than words, especially when it comes to empowering the underprivileged communities she represents.

Many happy returns of the day, Madam President! As a woman from a tribal background myself, I feel immense pride seeing President Murmu's rise. She proves that with determination and hard work, any obstacle can be overcome. The mention of her Pandit Nilakantha Das award shows how dedicated she's been since her early days in politics.

वाह! President Murmu ji's life is a textbook example of resilience and dedication to public service. From being a first-time MLA in Odisha to governing Jharkhand as its first female tribal Governor, and now as our President - her journey is like a Hindi movie script! The best part? She never forgot her roots and always fought for the underprivileged. 🇮🇳

It's good to see bipartisan birthday wishes for our Constitutional head. President Murmu's simplicity and humility are refreshing in today's political environment. I just hope the government pays more attention to the development of tribal regions in Odisha and Jharkhand, where basic amenities are still lacking despite having such a distinguished representative.

Happy Birthday President Murmu ma'am! It's wonderful to see our leaders praising her "commitment to inclusive development and social justice." As a young Indian, I find her story truly motivating - born in a remote village, faced many hardships
