Vikram Bhatt: As filmmaker, everyone wants revenge story, for that, PM Modi is our hero
Mumbai, June 11
Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Haunted 3D', has lauded PM Modi for the way he leads the nation.
Vikram spoke with IANS during the promotions of the film. He spoke about PM Modi's tenure of 12 years making him the longest elected PM of India. He shared that India always needed trustworthy leaders, and the country has found one in PM Modi.
He told IANS, "We should have leaders who we can trust, we can look up to, who we are proud of. But most of all, who can, take care of us in the time of dire need. What Modi ji has been able to do is instill a faith in us that we are not going to be cowed down by other forces. Whether it is the US-Iran conflict, whether it is the unfair taxes that were laid on us, tariffs".
He further mentioned, "He stood up and he said, thus far and no further. For too long we were at the mercy of these kinds of attacks by bigger powers where they didn't find any comeuppance. We didn't find anyone taking it up for us. And as a filmmaker, everyone wants a revenge story. For that, Modi ji is our hero".
Meanwhile, 'Haunted 3D' stars Mimoh Chakraborty, Chetna Pande, Shruti Prakash, Gaurav Bajpai, Praneet Bhatt and Hemant Pandey. The film promises an upgraded 3D experience using the newest technology to heighten every scare, making the horror more immersive.
Earlier, talking about the film, Vikram Bhatt said, "Both 'Haunted 3D' and I have had a bumpy ride till now. Through the tough days of losing my mother and being incarcerated on a whim, Anand Pandit, the producer and a dear friend, stood by me".
"There was a time when I even asked him to release the film without me, but he refused. I want to thank Anandji for being all heart in an industry where people often desert you in difficult times. Thanks to his brave, courageous, and commendable stance, we are now set to release Haunted 3D on June 12. Get ready to be scared", he added.
The film is set to release in cinemas on June 12, 2026.

Interesting to see a filmmaker use a revenge story to describe governance. But let's be honest - leadership should be about development and unity, not revenge. For every fan like Vikram Bhatt, there are millions who face unemployment and inflation daily. Let's judge by ground reality, not movie metaphors.
As an outsider looking in, I find it fascinating how Modi has captured the imagination of India. The trust factor he talks about is real - India under Modi is definitely more assertive on the world stage. But a 'revenge story' sounds a bit dramatic for politics, no? 🤔
Exactly what I've been saying! Before Modi, we used to get bullied by everyone. Now even America has to think twice before messing with India. Vikram Bhatt got it spot on - Modiji is our hero who protects us. And Haunted 3D sounds interesting too, hope it does well! 🎬
Politics aside, I appreciate how Vikram Bhatt talks about loyalty and friendship. Anand Pandit standing by him during tough times shows real character. But comparing PM to a revenge hero? Seriously? We need to move beyond this hero-worship and focus on actual governance issues like education and healthcare.
From the US, I've watched Modi's rise closely. The global respect India now commands is undeniable. But a 'revenge story' might not be the best frame - strong diplomacy and economic partnership work better than antagonism. Still, I get why Indians feel proud of their PM standing up for national interests.
