Strong India-US ties are crucial for global stability and our own economic growth. The mention of working together on defence and tech is the real takeaway here. This is more than symbolic; it's about strategic partnership.

While the recognition is nice, I hope our government also focuses on strengthening democratic values and freedom of speech at home with the same zeal. A strong democracy isn't just for others to praise, it's for us to live every day.

As someone living in Seattle, it's fantastic to see our state government acknowledging the vibrant Indian community here. The luncheon and dance recital must have been beautiful. This fosters real multicultural understanding.

Jai Hind! From South Dakota to Alaska, the widespread official proclamations show India's growing soft power. The Indian diaspora, like Senators Dhingra and Slatter, are our true ambassadors. Makes me emotional.

Good step, but let's be clear-eyed. These are also political gestures aimed at the influential Indian-American voter base. The real test is in tangible outcomes on trade, visas (H1B issues!), and technology transfer.
