Tinaa Dattaa recalls final moments with pet Bruno: 'I had no idea my entire world would change forever'
Mumbai, Aug 10
Television actress Tinaa Dattaa remembered her late pet dog Bruno with an emotional post.
The 'Uttaran' actress shared heartfelt memories of the final moments she spent with him. Tinaa revealed that a picture she shared was taken just a day before she lost Bruno. Sharing the photograph, she wrote, "A lil thought. This was taken just a day before I lost him. Little did I know that in just a few hours, my entire world would change forever. 10th of every month... Had I known, I would never have left him. I would've cancelled everything, held him in my arms, cuddled him a little longer, kissed him a thousand more times, and never let go."
Tinaa also recalled how Bruno loved posing for the camera. "Look at how happily he was posing for the camera. He always loved being clicked. The camera adored him, and he adored it right back. But somehow, looking back now, it almost feels like he knew this would be his last photoshoot with me."
The actress further revealed that she had an unusual feeling that day and kept taking more pictures of Bruno. "For some strange reason that day, I kept thinking, 'Let me take more pictures. Let me make more memories.' I had no idea those memories would become all I had left.
"Every time I wrapped my arms around him, he would simply close his eyes... completely still... soaking in every second of that hug. I cannot explain the peace he felt when I held him close. It was never the food, the medicines, or anything else he longed for. All he ever wanted was to be in my arms."
Concluding her emotional tribute, Tinaa wrote, "People say dogs don't speak. Mine never needed words. His eyes told me everything. His silence spoke louder than anything ever could. If this isn't unconditional love, then I don't know what is."
"I miss you every single second, my baby. And if I had just one more day... I'd spend every heartbeat holding you, because now I'd give anything for just one more hug. I would hold him close and softly sing "You Are My Sunshine," and within moments, he would drift off to sleep, feeling safe, feeling loved. That was our little world."

As someone who lost my labrador last year, I can completely relate to this. The guilt of not spending enough time, the constant "if only I had known" thoughts - it's so real. Tinaa, you gave Bruno 12.5 wonderful years. That's what matters. Stay strong 🙏
The part about him closing his eyes when she hugged him - I'm crying 😭. Pets really do live for love, not for treats or toys. Bruno knew he was loved till the very end. That's the best gift any pet parent can give.
Beautiful tribute. But I have to say - why do celebrities make everything so dramatic? I understand the pain of losing a pet, but posting this months later with such elaborate details feels a bit much. Still, respect for the genuine love she had for Bruno.
"If this isn't unconditional love, then I don't know what is" - couldn't have said it better. Dogs teach us so much about living in the moment. Bruno's photos show how happy he was. May his soul rest in peace 🌈🐾
The way she describes how Bruno would close his eyes during hugs reminds me of my own dog. They truly live in the moment. Tinaa, your pain is valid and understandable. Cherish those 12 wonderful years. Bruno will always be with you in your heart. 🙏
