The precision of the timings (6.25 am to 9.25 am!) is impressive. As someone in Chandigarh, I appreciate the heads-up. Already told the kids' school bus driver to be careful.

Living in Ludhiana and seeing my area listed. Time to unplug electronics and secure the terrace plants. These sudden winds can cause real damage. Stay safe, everyone!

While the forecast is detailed, I wish there was a simpler public advisory in Punjabi and Haryanvi for our villages. Not everyone can understand this technical English list of tehsils.

Good to see IMD's capabilities improving. Hope the authorities in Ambala and Panchkula are ready for any waterlogging or tree falls. Our infrastructure needs to keep pace with accurate forecasts.

The article mentions "no formal warning" but the list of areas is extensive. For travelers on the NH44 or other highways in the region today, please drive slowly and keep headlights on.
