Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday proposed promoting tourism in and around Hyderabad and Bharat Future City, and directed officials to prepare an action plan for developing eco-tourism in the CURE area.

Chairing a review meeting of the Tourism Department, the Chief Minister instructed officials to prepare a plan to develop Taramati Baradari and Durgam Cheruvu into major tourist destinations with modern facilities. The meeting also discussed proposals for the modernisation of the Manjira and Dilkusha guest houses, a release said.

Revanth Reddy emphasized that Vikarabad should be developed under the Tourism Hub Development Scheme and said the Veerabhadra Swamy Temple should be developed as a spiritual tourism centre. He also instructed officials to constitute a committee for the temple on the lines of the Yadagirigutta Devasthanam Trust Board.

Reviewing the status of the Puranapul heritage bridge, the Chief Minister directed officials to develop the surrounding area into a tourist destination by creating facilities for visitors. He also suggested diverting traffic, if required, to facilitate tourist access to the bridge.

Revanth Reddy also reviewed preparations for the Global Investment Summit scheduled to be held in December and directed officials to constitute committees to ensure coordination among various departments for the event.

Glad to see focus on eco-tourism in CURE area and development of Veerabhadra Swamy Temple as spiritual tourism centre. But we've seen many such announcements before - hope this time there's concrete implementation with proper monitoring. Also important to ensure local communities benefit from tourism development.

Impressive vision for the Future City! Developing forest lands to international standards alongside urban infrastructure is smart planning. The Puranapul heritage bridge development could become a real landmark. Looking forward to seeing Hyderabad transform.

The idea of developing Gurramguda-style eco-parks within the city is excellent! Hyderabad desperately needs more green spaces and recreational areas. But one concern - hope they don't neglect the existing lakes and parks while focusing on new projects. Also, traffic management around these tourist spots needs serious attention.

Good initiative but need to see actual progress. We've had many meetings and announcements before but little ground work. The Global Investment Summit is important for Telangana's economy - hope they coordinate well with all departments. Vikarabad as tourism hub is a great idea, it's a beautiful area.

The Veerabhadra Swamy Temple development on lines of Yadagirigutta Trust Board is a welcome move! Spiritual tourism can boost local economy significantly. But need to ensure temple autonomy and traditional practices are preserved while developing infrastructure. Hope this doesn't become another commercial venture.
