Tejasswi Prakash on Ektaa Kapoor: A mastermind, impeccable businesswoman

Actress Tejasswi Prakash, who can be seen in the recently released 5th season of the gaming reality show, 'Playground', has heaped praise on the "queen of television" Ektaa Kapoor, as she feels that Ektaa is someone who is always ready to change with time in the way she approaches her work.
The actress spoke with IANS along with Elvish Yadav and Aarush Bhola at a 5-star property in the Juhu area of Mumbai during the promotions of the show.
Of late, daily soaps have taken a back seat, and reality shows are the flavour of the season. The fact that Ektaa Kapoor had to enter the battleground of reality shows with 'Lock Upp' points to the growing affinity of the audience for reality shows.
When asked if Ektaa Kapoor is losing her shimmer given that the soap operas aren't working anymore, the actress, said, "No, Ektaa Kapoor has always been the queen of television, but at the same time, she is a mastermind and an impeccable businesswoman. She knows what's in trend".
The actress told IANS, "She is not someone who is so old-school that she will only walk her own path no matter if it's a hit or a flop. I have seen a lot of people who don't want to change their way of dealing with things, and because of that, they are stuck in the same way. And that's why they are not able to move forward in life. With time, I have also realised my mistakes, and have made necessary tweaks. You have to change with time, that's what she is doing, and she is doing it smartly".
Tejasswi has worked with Ektaa on 'Naagin 6', after she won 'Bigg Boss 15'.
She further mentioned, "The 2nd season of 'Lock Upp' has been so successful for a platform like Netflix or even for the makers Balaji, I'm so happy and so proud of them. I was a part of 'Lock Upp' on a smaller scale. And it was so much fun to be a part of the show, and to be on that stage".
"Even that has done so well. For the platform. On their social media. And I'm so happy. That the show has done well for Balaji as well. So I don't think in any way. Because she's also a filmmaker. So the films are also doing well. She's never just been television. And she has something great coming up as well. So I don't think the spark is going down", she added.

Agree with Tejasswi. Ekta ma'am has always adapted to trends. But let's be honest, daily soaps aren't dead yet - they still have a huge audience in small towns. Reality shows are just the new flavour, not the replacement.
Ektaa Kapoor is literally the reason Indian television exists! From K-serials to OTT shows, she's always thinking ahead. Tejasswi's point about changing with time is so true - that's why Ektaa is still relevant today. ❤️
One thing I appreciate about Ektaa is she never rests on her past success. Many producers in Bollywood get stuck with their old formulas, but she keeps experimenting. That's smart business sense, no doubt.

Ektaa Kapoor is indeed the queen! But I hope she doesn't forget her roots in traditional television. Soap operas have given us some iconic memories. Reality shows are great, but there's something special about the classic daily soaps. Still, props to her for staying relevant all these years! 🙌
