Tara Sutaria embraces 'Toxic' era, says she feels she belongs to it
Mumbai, July 2
Tara Sutaria, on Thursday, took to social media to share a series of her latest pictures from her look in the upcoming film "Toxic."
Alongside her glamorous shots, she wrote, "Oh the joy of finally getting to dress (and feel) like I'm from the era I've always believed I belong to!!! Say hello to Rebecca from the mad, mad world of #Toxic." In the images, Tara, clad in a black dress, is seen striking stylish poses for the camera. She also shared several other glimpses from her role in the movie.
Reacting to her look, Disha Patani commented, "Stunner." Tiger Shroff's sister Krishna Shroff dropped fire emojis.
In 'Toxic,' Tara Sutaria will be seen as Rebecca, a tough and intense character. In the movie, she takes on a bold, vintage-inspired, gun-wielding role as part of a large ensemble cast. It is being said that Rebecca is a layered and powerful character who carries strength and authority with complete confidence. Tara Sutaria's look for the role features a bold, fierce, and vintage-inspired style, drawing inspiration from classic old Hollywood glamour.
On a related note, the upcoming pan-India action film 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups' is directed by Geetu Mohandas and stars Yash in the lead role. The movie also features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026, strategically timed to coincide with a festive period that includes Varamahalakshmi, Onam, Eid, and Raksha Bandhan.
The film was initially slated to hit cinemas on March 19, 2026, where it would have clashed with Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The release was later postponed to June 4 before being rescheduled again to August 26.
"Toxic" also marks the first collaboration between filmmaker Geetu Mohandas and actor Yash.

Honestly, I'm a bit skeptical about the "vintage-inspired" look—it feels a little overdone in Bollywood lately. But Tara has the grace to pull it off, and Yash's presence makes this a must-watch. Let's hope the story matches the hype!
Tara looks like she's having the time of her life in this role—love that energy! Also, releasing during festivals like Onam and Raksha Bandhan? Smart move by the team. Can't wait for August 2026!
Disha Patani calling her a "stunner" says it all! 😍 The ensemble cast is insane: Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara, Huma... this is going to be a visual treat. Just hope the action sequences are as good as the styling.
I appreciate the creative move—combining old Hollywood glamour with a "grown-up fairytale" concept seems fresh. But multiple release date shifts? That raises red flags. Let's hope the final cut delivers, especially given Yash's track record.
Tara Sutaria is truly owning this era—her confidence is infectious! And I'm thrilled Geetu Mohandas is directing; she brings a unique perspective. Perfect for a festive release—my family is already planning to watch it together! 🎬
