Karur, July 10

Tamil Nadu Minister and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam leader Aadhav Arjuna inspected the arrangements for Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay's visit to Karur, where he is scheduled to participate in government and party events on July 10.

During the visit, CM Vijay will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various government welfare projects.

He is also set to hand over compassionate appointment orders to the family members who lost their lives in the Karur tragedy.

A separate TVK party event will be held at the Atlas Ground in Karur. Preparations for the meeting, including the erection of a large venue and security arrangements, are underway round the clock. Around 5,000 people are expected to attend the event, with entry restricted through QR code-based identity cards.

After inspecting the venue, Aadhav Arjuna told reporters that the preparations for the Chief Minister's visit were progressing at full pace and would be completed by Thursday night.

He said Karur West District Secretary Madhiyazhagan was overseeing the arrangements and ensuring that all works were completed on schedule.

When asked about financial assistance for those injured in the Karur tragedy, Aadhav Arjuna said, "TVK had not yet provided aid as the party had received the verified details of the injured only recently... the information is now being examined and the CM would extend financial assistance to the genuinely affected victims based on the verified list..."
