I'm glad V.V. Geethanjali got the Crime Against Women and Children Wing post. Hope she brings sensitivity and speed to cases that often drag on. 🤞
Transfers are routine, but promoting 5 ASPs to SP is noteworthy. That gives young officers a chance. But coming from common man, hope these moves reduce bureaucracy and improve response time, especially in rural areas like Tiruvannamalai.
Why so many transfers in the middle of the year? Seems like political exercise ahead of upcoming elections. Also, compulsory wait officers being suddenly posted — makes me wonder if all are merit-based. 🤨
Interesting to see an outsider's perspective. But from Australia, I wonder if these reshuffles actually improve policing for locals. In India, frequent transfers can disrupt continuity. Hope TN govt has evaluated performance before moving people.
Modernisation in DGP office under A. Velmurugan — good step. But anti-terror wing in Chennai needs more boots on ground, not just transfers. Real change requires resources and training, not just shuffling chairs. 🚔
As a Chennai resident, I'm cautiously optimistic. DCP posts
