Interesting mix of candidates from TN - politicians, a professor, and a former DGP from Bengal. But I wish more young professionals and entrepreneurs got these seats instead of the same political families.

DMK giving one seat to DMDK shows the alliance is strong. But what about actual work for the people? These elections feel like musical chairs for politicians. We need accountability, not just nominations.

Good to see a senior advocate like Menaka Guruswamy being nominated from Bengal. The Rajya Sabha needs experts who understand law and constitution, not just film stars and politicians. A step in the right direction!

Watching from outside India, it's fascinating how diverse the candidate pool is - from a former police chief to a film actress. Hope they focus on substantive policy work for their states.

Babul Supriyo switching parties and now getting a Rajya Sabha ticket... this is why common people lose faith in politics. It's all about power and position, not ideology or service. 🤦‍♂️
