Sunetra Pawar also acknowledged the personal loss she continues to face after Ajit Pawar's untimely demise, calling it a "mountain of sorrow", but said the values he instilled in her remain her strength in public life.

"Although Dada's untimely departure has brought a mountain of sorrow upon my mind, the sense of duty, strength of struggle, and commitment to the people that he taught me remain my true support. While I respect her personal loss, I'm not sure about appointing family members to such high posts. The portfolios given seem a bit limited. Hope she proves her capability beyond just being a legacy appointment. The state needs strong leadership.

As someone who follows Indian politics, this is a significant step for women's representation. First woman Deputy CM of Maharashtra! Her NGO work on environment is commendable. Hope she brings that grassroots experience to governance.

The real test will be how she handles the Sports and Youth Affairs portfolio. Maharashtra needs a boost in sports infrastructure. If she can apply her conservation mindset to developing sports talent in rural areas, it could be a game-changer.
