Students welcome redeveloped Shivnarayanpur station, thank PM Modi

Shivnarayanpur Railway Station in Bihar's Bhagalpur district was inaugurated on Friday under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
The inauguration is being seen as a significant step towards modernising railway infrastructure in the region.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually dedicated the redeveloped station to the nation along with 74 other revamped railway stations across the country.
The renovated Shivnarayanpur Railway Station has been equipped with modern passenger amenities.
The facilities include a redesigned station building, improved waiting halls, enhanced lighting, better sanitation facilities, and upgraded infrastructure aimed at providing a more comfortable travel experience.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by railway officials, public representatives, and residents.
Railway authorities said the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is designed to transform railway stations into modern, safe, and passenger-friendly transit hubs while improving connectivity and supporting regional development.
Officials added that the redevelopment of Shivnarayanpur Railway Station will not only enhance travel facilities for passengers but also contribute to the socio-economic growth of the surrounding areas.
The event was met with enthusiasm among local school students, many of whom expressed happiness over the station's transformation.
Speaking to IANS, several students said they were delighted to see a modern railway station in their area and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the development initiative.
One of the students said that this is a major step towards connecting them to various cities of the country.
"We are very happy to have such a modern railway station. It is a big gift for our region," one student added.
Another student said the upgraded station would make travel easier for residents.
"Now people from our area will be able to travel comfortably to destinations across the country from this modern station," the student added.
The redevelopment of Shivnarayanpur Railway Station is part of the Centre's broader initiative to upgrade railway infrastructure and improve passenger convenience through the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

Good to see local students appreciating this development. But we need more than just one station – Bhagalpur district has many stations that need upgradation. Hope the Amrit Bharat scheme covers them too. Still, a positive step forward. 👍

Nice to see development reaching small towns. But I hope the maintenance is taken care of. Many stations look good on inauguration day but become dirty within months. I request authorities to keep this station clean & well-maintained. Students deserve a good station!
