Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu interacted with young trainees, budding athletes and other children at the Sports Authority of India Centre of Excellence in Anu.
According to a press release, the Chief Minister said that the state government was committed to providing world-class facilities to talented athletes. As part of this effort, a modern indoor stadium was being constructed in Nadaun at a cost of approximately Rs 125 crore.

It's heartening to see the CM personally interacting with young athletes. That kind of encouragement can go a long way. But I hope they focus on grassroots development too—sports infrastructure in rural areas is still lacking. A world-class stadium in Nadaun is great, but what about small village grounds? 🤔
Impressive investment in sports! As someone from the US, I appreciate seeing state governments prioritize athletic infrastructure. The diet allowance increase and air travel for athletes are thoughtful touches. Hope this produces some Olympic medalists for India in the coming years. 🏅
Good intentions, but I'm skeptical. How many such announcements have we seen in the past that never materialized? The real test will be if the stadium is completed on time and actually used. Also, Rs 125 crore is a lot—hope there's transparency in spending. Let's see if this is genuine or just election season talk. 🤨
As a former athlete from HP, this brings a smile to my face. When I was training, we didn't even have proper tracks. Now they're talking about 14 sports under one roof—swimming, badminton, volleyball... it's a dream come true for young talent. Just hope the maintenance is taken seriously. Proud of my state! 🇮🇳
