This happens every winter. While the advisory is good, the airport infrastructure needs to be more robust to handle these seasonal disruptions. Tourists planning trips to Srinagar should always account for such delays in their itinerary.

My cousin was supposed to fly back today. Now he's stuck. At least the airlines are being proactive with communication and refund options. In the past, we'd just be left waiting at the airport with no info.

Visiting from the US and was scheduled to fly to Srinagar tomorrow. This is a bit stressful, but I appreciate the clear instructions on rebooking. The landscape must be stunning with all this snow, though!

It's a necessary precaution. The valley gets completely cut off during heavy snowfall. Hope the authorities also ensure road connectivity and essentials reach people. Flights are one part of the problem.

While safety is paramount, the communication could be more streamlined. Getting info from both the airline AND a separate airport notice is confusing for many passengers, especially elderly travelers. A single, unified advisory would be better.
