Bhopal, July 6

Union Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare and Rural Development Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, on Monday paid a courtesy call on Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav, at the Chief Minister's residence in Bhopal.

During the courtesy meeting, the two leaders discussed the state's development, agriculture, rural development, infrastructure and the implementation of public welfare schemes through coordination between the Centre and the state government.

According to a statement issued by Chouhan's office, both leaders also reviewed various ongoing development initiatives in the state and took stock of the progress of central schemes being implemented in Madhya Pradesh.

The meeting assumes significance as Chouhan served as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for nearly 17 years before joining the Union Cabinet after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Mohan Yadav took over the state's top post following the BJP's victory in the 2023 Assembly elections.

This was the second meeting between the two leaders at the Chief Minister's residence in recent months.

Chouhan had earlier visited him on April 29, when they also discussed issues related to the state's development and welfare programmes.

The BJP has consistently maintained that the Centre and the Madhya Pradesh government are working in close coordination to accelerate development and ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes across the state, particularly in agriculture and rural sectors.

During his visit to Bhopal, the Union Agriculture Minister also planted a sapling at Smart City Park.

Continuing his years-long pledge, Chouhan said, "As part of my pledge to plant a sapling every day, I planted one today at the Smart City Park in Bhopal. With a little effort from all of us, the Earth will become green and prosperous. I urge you, too, to plant saplings and contribute in every possible way to realising this pledge."

It's good to see politicians from the same party cooperating, but I hope this translates into real benefits for farmers and rural communities. The sapling planting initiative is nice, but we need more concrete actions on agricultural reforms and infrastructure.

Centre-State coordination ki baat toh theek hai, lekin kya sach mein kuch badlega? Bhopal mein road ki halat dekh lo, kisanon ko MSP nahi mil raha. Meetings se zyada action chahiye. 😟

Shivraj ji ka daily tree planting ka pledge bahut inspiring hai! 🌱 Agar har neta aise soch le toh dharti sach mein hari-bhari ho jayegi. Lekin development ke naam par sirf bijli-paani nahi, education aur health par bhi dhyan dena chahiye.

"Coordination" is just a fancy word for photo ops. The real question is: Are the farmers getting better prices? Is rural infrastructure improving? Meetings don't solve problems, implementation does. Let's see some accountability!

PM Modi aur Shivraj ji dono ne Madhya Pradesh ke liye bahut kuch kiya hai. Ab Mohan Yadav ji bhi continuity
