Shahid Kapoor's childhood throwback reveals his love for bikes started early

Mumbai, May 30

Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor gave fans a glimpse into his childhood memories, on Saturday, as he shared an old picture of himself from his childhood days, posing confidently beside a motorcycle.

Posting the throwback picture on his social media account, the actor joked, "When you a bike lover and you didn't even know it..." He followed it up with another story featuring his father, veteran actor Pankaj Kapur, blowing out candles on his birthday cake, captioning it, "Happy happy dad!!"

Interestingly, Shahid's love for motorcycles, a few years ago, had found its way onto the big screen as well.

Some of his most popular scenes from the blockbuster 'Kabir Singh' featured the actor riding a bike, with many clips from the film continuing to trend across social media platforms even now, years after its release.

On the professional front, Shahid worked as a background dancer in the 1990s, before becoming a Bollywood star.

He was famously spotted behind Karisma Kapoor in the song 'Le Gayi Le Gayi' from 'Dil To Pagal Hai'. He also appeared as a background dancer alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the song 'Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jaaye' from 'Taal'.

Shahid made his acting debut with 'Ishq Vishk' in 2003. He went onto deliver some superhit movies like 'Chup Chup Ke', 'Kaminey', 'Udta Punjab', 'Kabir Singh'.

The actor is now gearing up for 'Cocktail 2', which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon. Directed by Homi Adajania, the film is slated for release on June 19.

On the personal front, the actor is married to Mira Rajput and the couple are parents to two children, a girl Misha and boy, Zain.

Shahid is the son of veteran actors Pankaj Kapur and Neelima Azim.

Shahid ka childhood photo is so precious! 🥰 His father Pankaj Kapur is such a legend too. Can't wait for Cocktail 2 - the first part was amazing. Hope it lives up to expectations 🌟

While I appreciate Shahid's journey, the 'Kabir Singh' bike scenes were a bit too much for my taste - the movie's toxic masculinity didn't sit well. But his early work in 'Kaminey' and 'Udta Punjab' showed real talent. Hope Cocktail 2 focuses on meaningful content rather than just style.
