The Chief Justice and Judges of the High Courts are appointed by the President under clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution. The data must also include information regarding the total number of working days, the number of days the judge actually attended court, and the days of absence during the relevant period for which disposal statistics are submitted. Additional Judges are appointed by the President under clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution.

Good to see a mix of judges being made permanent. Smt. Justice Yara Renuka and Smt. Justice E. Tirumala Devi in Telangana, and Smt. Justice Manjusha Deshpande in Bombay. Representation matters. Wishing them all the best for their continued service.

The process seems thorough with all the data on working days and judgments. But sometimes these appointments get delayed for no clear reason. Hope the government acts on the Collegium's recommendations swiftly this time.

As someone following legal news, it's reassuring to see the system working. The Collegium under CJI Surya Kant is making decisions. Permanent appointments bring stability to the benches, which is crucial for long-running cases.

While I respect the judiciary, the collegium system itself could be more transparent. We only see the final names, not the full deliberation. A bit more openness in the process would strengthen public trust even further.

Telangana HC gets four new permanent judges! That should help speed things up in Hyderabad. Justice B.R. Madhusudhan Rao has a good reputation. Hope this leads to faster justice for common people like us. 👍
